Fremantle has made four changes for the 27th annual Len Hall Tribute Game against the Western Bulldogs at Optus Stadium on Saturday.

Pat Voss becomes the second player to make their AFL debut for the Club this weekend, joining draft recruit Cooper Simpson who was announced earlier today.

The Club signed Voss during the Supplemental Selection Period in February, and since then has impressed with his physicality and forward craft, highlighted by his three goals for Peel during last week’s RAC Derby curtain raiser win over West Coast.

“Just got the news, 10 to 15 minutes ago that I’d be making my debut this weekend with Cooper Simpson. I’m pretty excited,” Voss said.

“In the short time I’ve been here I’ve created some pretty good relationships with the boys.

“I’m loving my time over here, and it was pretty special to find out the news in front of the boys.”

Voss replaces Jye Amiss who is in concussion protocols following his head knock during last week’s RAC Derby.

Simpson was the Club’s first selection with pick 35 in the 2023 National Draft, racking up 19 disposals, five tackles and two goals in his appearance for Peel Thunder’s win over West Coast last week.

Accompanying the two debutants, Heath Chapman will make his long-awaited return to the senior side after battling a hamstring injury for the early part of the season.

Chapman’s last AFL game was in round 3, 2023 when the defender was injured in the Club’s RAC Derby win over West Coast, making it 391 days since he last played at the highest level.

Chapman recorded his first full minutes of game time for Peel last weekend, being a standout performer with his 26 disposals, eight marks and goal in the 68-point win.

Michael Frederick also returns to the AFL side after two weeks on the sidelines with a hamstring injury.

Frederick will add valuable experience and pace to Fremantle’s forward line, while forward partner Sam Switkowski was ruled out for the second week in a row in concussion protocols.

After returning for his first game of the season last week, Sean Darcy will also line up for his 100th AFL game on Saturday.

The last time Darcy played the Bulldogs he amassed 50 hit outs, 18 disposals and six marks.

The extended five-man bench of Bailey Banfield, Pat Voss, Matthew Johnson, Brandon Walker and Cooper Simpson features the substitute who will be confirmed one hour before bouncedown.

Bouncedown for the clash will be at 5.40pm WST with the game broadcast on 7mate and Fox Footy and streamed live on Kayo.
